Daily entries include total number from previous report remaining in hospital or quarters, number taken sick, number returned to duty, number discharged, number admitted to hospital, number dead, and total number in hospital or quarters. Totals for each company are added to give the totals for the entire regiment in each category.

When Mexican and Civil War soldiers mustered out of service, many regiments turned their flags over to the state of Ohio. The General Assembly authorized the purchase of glass cases to display battle flags in the Statehouse.
